I received a gift certificate in July 2020 for my 30th birthday to Culinaerie, the cooking school at Thomas Circle. I’ve watched the Google maps listing and website change to “temporarily closed,” and now I’m thinking they may have permanently closed.
They removed their website sometime near the end of 2021 and have not responded to my contact on multiple platforms.
Does anyone know if Culinaerie plans to reopen, or if we are SOL on the gift? Is there any way to recoup that payment from the company, or should I tell the gift-givers to fight the charge on their end? I feel bad either way: if they went out of business and if that money is lost.
