“Does anyone know what DC is doing with our recycling?”

“Dear PoPville,

For the past two weeks (at least), DC garbage collection has dumped the recycling and trash bins from our street into the same truck, intermingling our household recycling and trash.

I understand that the Ft Totten collection center rehab project is ongoing and this could be related to that effort.

I recall about 15-20 years ago, per the word on the street back in the day, DC was intermingling recycling and trash until they got sued by the EPA.

Does anyone know what DC is doing with our recycling?”
