I wanted to let you know about two separate incidents. First one happened Monday in the lobby at 14th and Maryland Ave, NE. From an employee of the building:
“I just had a male try to go upstairs to “visit” someone but I told him he couldn’t go and to have a seat here in the lobby until the resident comes down to get him. 20 mins goes by and I’m sitting here at the front desk and look over and this guy is “pleasuring himself” on the couch. It made me very uncomfortable and told him to leave and that I was calling the police. I have footage of him leaving.” Police said they couldn’t prosecute the individual unless we had him on video exposing himself or if the police saw him.
Second incident happened yesterday in the 1000 block of 10th Street, NE. Ring footage is attached. Attempted ‘armed’ robbery or car jacking. Police took 12min to respond. Proud of the woman for standing her ground but that could have ended so badly.“
