Volo Sports is Washington D.C’s most popular adult social sports league.
Playing with Volo is one of the best ways to get out (especially in the days of work-from-home!), stay active and meet new friends this fall. With options ranging from soccer, flag football and volleyball to cornhole and bocce, there’s something available for everyone.
Volo Sports leagues operate at some of the most recognizable locations and neighborhoods in the city: the National Mall, Adams Morgan, Shaw, Dupont, Columbia Heights, Navy Yard and more, so you’ll be sure to find a location convenient for you.
The best part? Every registration supports the Volo Kids Foundation, whose mission is to use play to build communities of active, resilient and confident kids. The Volo Kids Foundation provides free youth sports programs across the nation free of charge. We play so kids play free!
This season’s highlights:
- Glow Kickball & Bocce on the Mall
- New sport: Pickleball
- Dodgeball + Flip Cup Leagues (Flip Cup counts towards standings!)
- Happy Hour Leagues
Whether you’re looking to have fun with friends or meet new ones, Volo has the perfect league for you. Sign up as a full team, small group or free agent. No experience necessary!
Ready to get your game on? Register before Thursday, September 15 and use promo code POPVILLE to save $10 on your fall registration. Let’s play!

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!
The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!
What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
