As we begin to venture out from the pandemic and return to normal lives, my partner and I realized that we really cherished the getaways out of the city and into nature that we finally got around to doing when everything was shut down. We’ve been talking about buying a cabin somewhere in the DMV area (2-ish hours from the city?),
but are a little lost on where to start looking, and acknowledging that lots of the more rural areas are not listed online. Hoping the popville communities have some recommendations on places they’ve stayed that may be good jumping off points for us to start checking out. Ideally we’d love a place with a view where we can breathe the mountain air that’s near water (lake or river) and enjoy a cup of coffee and the quiet. Any great recommendations out there on places or companies to work with?”
