“Dear PoPville,
I’m doing a big renovation on my DC townhouse – a rear addition and turning the basement into an apartment. There will be 3 new bathrooms, 2 kitchens, all new mechanical stuff, etc.
While I believe the builder to be competent, I’m wondering if I should hire an inspector to check out the work and act as my advocate. If so, at what point in the process is best? And I’d love any recommendations of thorough inspectors. Thanks!”
