Any idea what’s going on with the volleyball courts near the Lincoln Memorial? I used to play there every summer, but the courts were closed down during the pandemic quarantine in spring 20202 and never reopened. I found out last summer that they were undergoing renovation. I drove by recently and the courts appear to be finished with new nets, sand, and everything you need to play the game of volleyball except that the whole area is still inside a construction fence. There’s no information online about why they haven’t opened yet.
I did find these plans which indicate opening in 2023, but what are they waiting for?? Why can’t they open sooner?”
