Update: “At this time, we can report that an adult male suspect has been arrested for the stabbing that took place on the corner of First and Massachusetts Avenue NE at approximately 2:20pm today. All closures that were in place around the scene have reopened.”
From MPD:
“MPD units, with assistance from Metro, Amtrak, and Capitol Police, are investigating a stabbing that occurred in the area of the Union Station Metro Station. The entrances to the Metro and Union Station closest to First Street NE are currently closed.
At this time, there is no active threat to the community. An update will be provided shortly. Thank you for your patience.”
