Chantelle asks: “dc: best/fastest way to get a paxlovid prescription for high risk folks if their primary care doc doesn’t have any appointments and won’t prescribe without one?”
The early replies:
“Sounds like a job for urgent care.”
“Urgent care should be able to do this!”
“We went through this a few weeks ago, unfortunately. AllCare has video appointments but they require a PCR Test to write the rx. CVS’s Minute Clinic will write the rx if you show them a positive rapid test but appointments were harder to come by.”
“Are you a member of one medical??? They are great and always can get you in quick”
“Telehealth (virtual) appt plus self test at home.”
“Here is the finder for the test to treat sites (mostly CVS).
Would recommend just calling in advance to verify process and supply.”
