Today is the 14th Annual Columbia Heights Day! Check out the scheduled events

From a press release:

“On Saturday, June 18, come join us as we celebrate the diverse and vibrant neighborhood of Columbia Heights. Rather than a street closure, there will be three activation zones throughout the neighborhood with programming and activities for all ages.

The event will feature a Carnival and Main Stage at Tubman Elementary School with performances from A Boy Called Patches, Orion and the Melted Crayons, La Marvela, Dante’ Pope, Marc Cary, and Like That Records DC, and appearances from Glass Palace Entertainment. The stage at 14th and Girard, hosted by DJ DinoVersace, will include performances from Miss Angie, Capoeira Barro Vermelho & Brazilian American Cultural Center, Elin, and Carly Harvey.

Visit Columbia Heights Civic Plaza for the Farmers Market, an educational cooking demo, kid’s activities, dance performances, bike repair, and more. See the full schedule below.

The 2022 Columbia Heights Day Festival will be held from 11am until 6pm on Saturday, June 18th. The three zones include: Harriet Tubman Elementary School Field at 11th & Kenyon St, the Columbia Heights Civic Plaza at 14th & Park Rd, and the Park at Girard & 14th St.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
