Erika asked:

“DC friends/acquaintances, I have been gifted a whole ass Cheesecake Factory cheesecake and I don’t want it all to go bad. tips on where to give some it away (or do any of y’all wanna meet up and eat celebratory cheesecake with me?)”

The magnificent suggestions:

“Eat it at 2am in the dark while crying and listening to Taylor Swift. It’s the only way to eat a whole Cheesecake Factory cheesecake.”

“Get a group of people together to watch Golden Girls, and eat the cheesecake.”

“Before you freeze, cut the slices. That way you can defrost one piece at a time.”

“Freeze it, girl!”

“@dc_fnb
will probably distribute it to unhoused neighbors if you can freeze it until next weekend.”

“yes we could redistribute a cheesecake in under 5 minutes”

“Maybe try Martha’s Table or N St Village”

“Freeze it, nothing better than some “oooh, I do have cheesecake” in your hour of need.”

“If you offer up slices of it in your local Buy Nothing group on FB people will come get it from you tonight. Otherwise freeze it.”

“freeze the cheesecake then invite eight people on twitter to each bring a cheesecake for a cake and champagne tasting party”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
