“Dear PoPville,
I recently moved home to Michigan, but still have my DC plates on my car, will be changing them over to Michigan when it’s my birthday (they do renewals here old timey and they happen on your birthday, not just any day!)
Brief history of Michigan motor department laws aside, I woke up this morning to three letters from the DC DMV of three unpaid parking tickets,
all in various places throughout upper NW — Park View, Mt. Pleasant and Columbia Heights, all places I didn’t live (I was in Woodley Park) and all for times I was no longer in the District, and with the incorrect make and model (Toyota vs. Audi.)
Now I know I can easily get the tickets adjudicated — but who do I contact about the seemingly, I guess plate duplication? Is this something people are seeing?“
