From FRESHFARM:

“This spring, the DC-based nonprofit FRESHFARM is making significant enhancements to its flagship Dupont Circle Farmers Market, expanding the Sunday market and adding a Thursday market to the Dupont location. Celebrating 25 years, the Dupont Circle market has become one of the most renowned producer-only farmers markets in Washington, DC and beyond. FRESHFARM’s establishment coincides with the 1997 opening of the Dupont Circle market, and the organization now operates the largest network of farmers markets in the region and the third-largest in the country.

Working closely with the District of Columbia and the Dupont Circle BID, FRESHFARM has secured additional space for the FRESHFARM Dupont Circle Sunday Market, and starting on Sunday, April 3rd, will expand into Massachusetts Avenue NW between the circle and 20th Street NW.

“Farmers markets are an essential business, providing communities with a vital food access point,” notes FRESHFARM Executive Director Hugo Mogollon. “We proudly kept the Dupont Circle market open throughout the pandemic and we saw a spike in shopping. The expansion will help relieve shopper congestion and also allow us to add new farmers and producers to the market, aligning with the District’s covid recovery goals and advancing economic development for small businesses.”

In addition to growing the footprint and number of farmers and producers at the Sunday market, FRESHFARM has partnered with the Dupont Circle BID to open a weekday market. The FRESHFARM Dupont Circle Thursday Market will open for the season on Thursday, May 5th from 3 PM to 7 PM and will operate along the 1900 block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. The market will feature a lineup of 10 to 15 farmers and producers, offering local fruits, vegetables, proteins, artisan bread and cheeses, and more.

“We are excited about our growing partnership with FRESHFARM,” notes Dupont Circle BID Executive Director Colleen Hawkinson. “With the expansion of the Sunday market and creation of a new weekday market, FRESHFARM will expand its role as a vital food access point in Dupont Circle, increase access to fresh produce, and continue to contribute to the neighborhood’s reputation as a food destination.”

For 25 years, FRESHFARM has been a leader in transforming the local food system, starting with the opening of a farmers market in Dupont Circle in 1997. The organization has since grown into a leading food systems nonprofit working to build a strong food future in the Mid-Atlantic region. FRESHFARM has played a vital role in stimulating the local economy, supporting local farmers and small businesses, improving equitable food access, and enriching education for DCPS students. To celebrate the 25th anniversary, FRESHFARM is publishing a series of FRESHFARM at 25 Years stories from stakeholders and community members, creating a limited edition commemorative product line in collaboration with the FRESHFARM network of farmers and producers, and planning special events at markets throughout the season.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
