“Dear PoPville,
I just got Trash Notice of violation from September 2021. Tapped to my door . No envelope. Just paper. Stating i have 14 days from date on paper to submit $75 for discarding a plastic envelope into a public trash can.
What is wrong with DC? What is allowed to be thrown in a trash can lol.
They have a team of people digging through trash can but nobody actually picking up trash on the streets or even trash regularly on time.
The priority of DC gov is clearly to not actually find a trash solution but fine every single address they can fine In a public trash can.
Also this date is September 30th and 10/13 is another date listed. Im just now receiving this 6 months later! Tapped to my door?
Also attached is a picture of what i assume means certified mail? Yet i never received not signed for any certified mail.
Also nobody answers the phone . Has this happened to anybody else?
I especially love the line where it asks to keep public trash area clean at all times? So don’t throw any trash in public trash cans.
Lesson: never ever ever ever let your address wind up in a public trash bin intentionally or not (stolen packages) because they have an entire team hired find address to collect money for the city.”
