DC Open House List for This Weekend

As we enter D.C. spring, we can expect lots of fluctuation in the weather just as much as the real estate market. There are 330+ open houses scheduled across the District for this weekend and don’t let the rain deter you, because it won’t deter the other potential homebuyers. Check out some of our favorite open houses below and to see the full Open House List, click here.

  • 6915 32nd Street NW — $1,575,000 — Chevy Chase
    Open Sat. & Sun. 1-5 p.m. — Jeff Reese
“The home sits on a manicured massive lot (1/3 of an acre that takes an entire block on 32nd St with no neighbors on either side) in the coveted Hawthorne neighborhood of Chevy Chase. You are a two-minute walk to Rock Creek Park and an easy walk to Lafayette Elementary and close to transportation arteries and shopping. This home is oversized in every way. Enter the gracious foyer and enjoy an enormous living room with double banks of windows, a wood-burning fireplace, a very large dining room, a recently refreshed kitchen (with gas/electric options), a breakfast room, a sunroom filled with plants and a special place to relax, and a wonderful office complete with built-ins. A vintage powder room on the main floor is conveniently located near the living room. The hardwoods and the sunlight make this large home feel very special. There are three bedrooms upstairs. The primary bedroom is enormous with an ensuite,  the secondary bedroom is equally generous in size and is flooded in natural light and the third bedroom has lovely period finishes including grasscloth wallpaper. The primary bath has been improved and the hall bath is in wonderful period condition. There is ample opportunity to add a 600 square foot new primary suite over the garage should that be desired. The lower level offers high ceilings, natural light and a second fireplace as well as a full bath. This lower living room/den is large enough to accommodate 50 of your closest friends while you enjoy the gas fireplace. There is a LEGAL fourth bedroom with an egress window and a large closet on the lower level. There are lovely built-ins as well. Storage is abundant in the lower level with a massive utility room on the north side of the home and the laundry room is quite large with access to the rear garden. The garden/backyard is beyond spectacular.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
