“The Fourth District is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on January 1, 2022, at approximately 7:41 pm in the rear alley of the at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Kennedy Street NW. Officers responded to the are to investigate a call for the sounds of gunshots. The initial investigation has revealed that two victims had been shot crossing Kennedy Street, between Illinois and Georgia Avenue.
The victims had entered a vehicle and drove themselves to a local area hospital prior to officers arriving on the scene.
The victims are both adult males, both being struck in their lower extremities with non life threatening injuries. Anyone with information or video is asked to contact the Metropolitan Police Department on 202-727-9099 or Text 50411.”
