“Dear PoPville,
Writing to send out some thanks into the world to a bicyclist who helped un-strand me from Adams Morgan Sunday morning! Something about the cold made my bike lock jam while I was out and about Saturday night, and upon returning to try to rescue it on Sunday morning I still couldn’t get the lock to budge, after which my phone promptly died.
I went over to Philz Coffee to get some problem-solving fuel and asked a bicyclist sitting outside for advice; he gave me a hand warmer which ended up loosening up whatever was jammed. By the time I was done fiddling my rescuer had sped off so I didn’t get to say thank you!!
Extra props for not saying anything about the temporary tattoos all over my face left over from my night out…
