“someone keeps dumping bags of trash/food in front of my house.”

“Dear PoPville,

I keep coming home to bags of opened trash in front of my house!!!! It’s driving me crazy!! Is this happening to anyone else?!

Im in Columbia Heights Girard Street! The street is disgusting as is but someone keeps dumping bags of trash/food in front of my house.

I don’t know if its the construction workers across the street or residents on the street but it’s just mind boggling to me. Trash guys won’t pick this up unless its in one of their DC approved cans! Which ours have been stolen several times over the years and now we’re waiting AGAIN! And who will get a trash fine for this?? US! I have explained it to DC trash services. They Don’t care. I’m just at a loss for DC public services. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this at all.”

We’re about a month out from summer. That means you’ve still got time for spring cleaning!

Lexi Grant, an operations manager at Well-Paid Maids, shared her go-to spring cleaning tips with WTOP News. Step one? Declutter. Get rid of items you don’t use, find space for items that need a home and organize those areas.

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
