From an email:

“In just over two years, Punjab Grill has become a jewel in Washington’s fine-dining scene, replete with stunning interiors, luxurious service and brilliant interpretations of Indian cuisine and hospitality.

We’re excited to announce that over the holiday season, we’ll be taking a brief break to reset, refine and enhance our concept to bring diners an even more unforgettable experience

. When we return, we will be a singular place within Washington and the nation to experience Indian gastronomy in its most elevated and daring avatar.

The final day of service before our break will be today, November 24. We’re looking forward to seeing you as soon as we write the next chapter in our story and continue to push the boundaries of Indian food.

“The pandemic changed the world permanently in so many ways that we’re still struggling to comprehend,” said owner Karan Singh. “But one thing is clear – merely returning to the old normal isn’t enough… it’s time to evolve and rewrite the rules.”
