I used to plan events in DC regularly for work in the Before Times™. However, as I get back into event planning for 2022, I’m finding a lot of places in the District do not have vaccine mandates for staff or guests. Regardless of people’s views on this, many older and vulnerable people attend our events, so it’s my responsibility to host our events at the safest places possible.
While I’m looking for outdoor venues, we always need a place with an indoor back up. I’m wondering if your readers have had success finding spaces that require vaccination and/or on-site rapid tests for events. I spoke with one place that said they cannot require employees to be vaccinated even if we can require our attendees to be so.
Thanks for any tips of spaces I should look into. I’m looking forward to planning events in the District again!”
