I’m one of the many who has a lease up at the end of the year and my building is claiming they still have no information from the Mayor’s office (which knowing DC government I mostly believe) about what will happen with the rent raise freeze / what my rent will look like in 2021.
Would you ask if folks know more or if there are any housing lawyers in the city that can provide more details for the rights of tenants once the rent freeze raises? I just have no idea how much of a rent increase I can expect since my lease goes month to month (they won’t even let me sign another year long lease).”
