As required by DC, riders will be fined for not correctly locking their scooters after a trip. Please double-check the rules below to avoid a fine next time you ride!
– Scooter Not Locked: $5.00
– Fallen Scooter: $10.00
– Unclear End of Ride Photo: $2.00
Scooters may be locked to:
– Bike racks
– Parking or Stop sign posts
– In-Street Bicycle and Scooter Corrals
Scooters may not be locked to:
– Parking meters
– Bus zones
– Private fences
– Trees
– Capital Bikeshare docks
– Garbage cans
When you’re done with your ride, don’t forget to complete the end of ride photo to show your Bird is locked appropriately!”
