Helluva Storm Yesterday, Power Outages, Trees Down and “Hotter and more humid today, with another round of thunderstorms possible later on.”

Fortunately restored now but at one point Pepco reported 3,301 customers had lost power yesterday.

From the National Weather Service:

“Hotter and more humid today, with another round of thunderstorms possible later on.”

Jeffrey and Anna report earlier this morning:

“Twelve hours after the storm and trees are still coming down. Just watched this trunk crack and half the tree fall on the 1200 block of T. The dog was NOT pleased.”

“A giant tree fell on T St NW, between 12th and 13th sometime between 7a and 7:30a this am.”
