“Dear PoPville,

Fundraising for the Ward 5 Back to School Supply Drive & Giveaway is in full swing and we are looking for support – individual donations, sponsorships, and anyone interested in tabling the event day of.

Last year, we gave away more than 300 backpacks of supplies, and are hoping to do even more this year.

Ordering in bulk, we can get one backpack with a kit of standard supplies for about $10, and then we are supplementing as we are able with other age-differentiated supplies such as calculators and ear-buds.

The Ward 5 Education Equity Committee and Ward 5 State Board of Education Representative Zachary Parker are the event’s hosts, and we will have additional partnering sponsors.

I’ve included the flyer and link to donate is here.

If you are interested in tabling at the event, please fill out the survey by August 11. survey link.”
