“Dear PoPville,
When I was walking across the bridge from Woodley Park to Adams Morgan Friday afternoon, I was stopped by a couple that seemed to be in their 20s-30s. They said they were locked out of their car and needed to borrow money for a locksmith or something.
They said they are new to the neighborhood, just moved here 3 days ago, had contacted the police that was no help, and offered for me to keep their phones and pictures of their IDs as collateral before paying me back in 2 hours.
Is this a scam?”
