Carjacking and Sexual Assault victim needs your helps to check any security camera footage you may have

via MPD

“Last Sunday afternoon, July 11, around 5:25 p.m., I was carjacked at gunpoint on the SW corner of Crittenden and 9th Streets NW. I was ordered to drive down what I believe was Buchannan, and ended up in an alley behind 513 Crittenden St, where I was sexually assaulted. The assailant pushed me out of the car and fled the scene.

Here is the police report of the incident.

I’m asking for your help–if you have a security camera (front or rear) or doorbell camera, please check between the hours of 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. that day for any footage that may help the investigation (either footage of the suspect walking around before the crime or driving away afterwards). The suspect was wearing black plastic framed eyeglasses, a white t-shirt, green basketball shorts, and white sneakers. He was a slim build, black male between the ages of 19-22. The car is a white 2012 Chevy Volt with a black roof, license plate MD 9AY5678.

Even if you don’t live near the streets that I mentioned, please check your cameras anyway. He fled by car, so he could have taken any street, in any direction.

Please let me know via email ([email protected]) or phone (202) 670-5338‬, or contact the police (((202)727-9099. Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by sending a text message to 50411) if you have any footage or information that could help identify my assailant. And please feel free to share.

Thank you for reading.”
