Earlier this year I was laid off due to COVID and since I worked in Maryland I received a Maryland unemployment card, however because I live in DC my card was flagged for fraud and closed. I went through the process to open the card again and the state unemployment agency certified my identity, but I still don’t have access to the money I had on the card when I was unemployed.
I’ve called the unemployment office 27 different times now and have been trying to resolve this issue since early March and each time I get the same “We’re sorry your call cannot be completed at this time” voice whenever I call.
Do you or anyone know of an email or any other number I can call to hopefully get this resolved?”
