Your Afternoon Animal Fix – AdoPtville

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share for the regular fix please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. AdoPtville is run by a volunteer who compiles these pets weekly from local shelters.

Super sweet Gracie has put on her non-traditional grey tuxedo, so she’ll be on her best appearance at all times. An affectionate kitty, she enjoys snuggling with you, but won’t attach herself like velcro, so you’ll be left alone for Zoom meetings. Gracie’s also a very playful girl, prone to getting zoomies multiple times a day, chasing her toys, running from room to room and generally doing silly things (none of them involve scratching furniture!). On the other hand, an open curtain can occupy her for a long time, as she likes to keep tabs on the neighborhood comings and goings. A treat of plain boiled chicken will make her love you forever. Gracie’s being fostered in a house with a small dog and gets along with him well, so she’d be happy in a home with a canine companion; however, she needs to be the only cat in your house.

Gracie has a mast cell tumor on her face that is inoperable. The cancer is currently contained to this spot and if it doesn’t grow or change, she can live with this for a while and be fine. Her adoption fee will be waived for an approved adopter.

Apply to meet with Gracie today and she’ll capture your heart with her energetic ways!

Cedar is a lovely dog and a quick learner. He loves the company of his humans, but is also comfortable being crated alone at home. Most of all, Cedar needs a human who can help him work through his leash reactivity with dedicated training. A quiet neighborhood would be best and a yard to play fetch in would be a plus!

Cedar has a variety of hobbies that include; a good mental workout (games and sniffing for treats), playing fetch, and relaxing with humans. He loves sniffy games and working on his wobbly Kong, and has also been known to play an excellent game of fetch (in which he punctuates each retrieval with an adorable pounce). When not working on his training exercises and games, he loves nothing more than to play with and snuggle his people (between the daily activities he’s been known to hop on the couch, let out a loud sigh, and happily doze off next to his foster human). Don’t be surprised when after a long day of fun, a tired Cedar decides to put himself to bed. It’s absolutely adorable.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
