“On April 20, 2021, at approximately 03:43 AM Officers responded to Sounds of Gunshots at 16th and Varnum Street NW. A victim was located and reported being shot at while driving his vehicle on 16th Street. The victim was not injured however his vehicle sustained 5 bullet holes. The incident is being investigated by the Fourth District Detective’s Office.

“There were several incidents of shots being fired in the area of 12th St., K St., and the 1200 block of Florida Ave. NE overnight.

Several parked vehicles were struck, but there were no injuries reported. Our officers were in the area during all three occurrences and we will maintain a presence in the immediate vicinity as we investigate the cause and source of these incidents.
