“Not getting info on my second vaccine dose, please help!”

“Dear PoPville,

I had recently gotten my first vaccine dose on March 25th at the Convention Center. I had signed up for pre-registration through the DC.gov website and also through GW Hospital (I had received a separate email through GW telling me to fill out an eligibility questionnaire and if I qualified, I would receive an email from them inviting me to schedule an appointment.) DC gov responded first and I was able to get my first Pfizer dose on the 25th. My vaccine card states that the Healthcare Professional or Clinic Site was GWH (GW Hospital) even though I received it at the Convention Center.

After I received the shot, I asked the nurse who administered it about my second vaccine dose. She told me that I would get an email to schedule it in a day or two. When I checked my emails, I did receive an email from GW, but it specifically said it was for my 1st dose. And regardless, all of the appointments were booked for the time frame that I needed the second dose.

I called GW and they told me that they had nothing to do with the shots that are administered from the Convention Center, that they have a “partnership” but they are not directly responsible.

They told me to contact DC gov directly to schedule my second dose. DC gov told me that they have no record of me and that I need to call the CDC to see if they can find my dose and that they will help me schedule my second appointment. I called the CDC and, due to the volume of calls, the phone would ring and ring (after endless prompts) and then it would hang up on me

I am wondering if anyone else has had this experience or if anyone out there can help me or point me in the right direction? I am starting to freak out since no one seems to know who is responsible. I do have pre-existing conditions and am worried about having to start the process over again, if that is even possible.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
