“Dear PoPville,

I had my first Pfizer shot a few days ago in the morning (40s female with underlying medical condition). By afternoon, I had a pounding headache that lasted almost 8 hours – had to lie down in a dark room rest of the day.

I would love to hear from others on what their experience has been with vaccine shots as far as side effects, and what if anything people are doing to better prepare for their shots and mitigate/tolerate them better.

From what I have heard, women and those under 55 tend to have a stronger reaction to vaccine, and usually the second dose packs a punch. The only advice I got was to drink lots of water before and after the shot, to stay hydrated.”
