“On Saturday, February 20, 2021 at approximately 12:16am, in the 5200 block of 7th Street NW a citizen reported being the victim of an attempted robbery where the two suspects fired a weapon striking him in the hip.
The victim was treated at the local hospital and the case is under investigation by the Fourth District Detectives Office.

Earlier MPD reported a carjacking in Park View:
“On Friday, February 19, 2021 at approximately 7:00pm, a suspect approached the victim while inside of his white Chevy Quest Diagnostic Truck in the 3100 Block of Georgia Ave NW. The suspect produced a firearm and ordered the victim out of the vehicle. The suspect was described as a black male, 5’11”, 25-35 years old, slim build, medium complexion, wearing black jacket with black hoodie. Last seen fleeing in the victim’s truck on Georgia Avenue.
