My rowhouse block has a foot alley behind it for trash and other things from which our properties are accessible. My neighbor has decided to take over his portion of the foot alley, blocking the rear entrance to my house.
I don’t think this is legal, as the alley behind the houses has been clear and open since the houses were built 100 years ago and now my gate is blocked. DCRA has been less than helpful, noting that he applied for a fence permit.
Does anyone have any good real property attorneys or other ideas?”
