Today’s Rental was chosen for the location

This rental is located at 1825 4th Street NW near Florida Ave. The Craiglist ad says:

“$2,400 / 2br – 1200ft2 – $2400 2BR plus den, 1.5 BA, gas fireplace, garage (Ledroit Park)

We LOVED this apartment but moved away to be closer to family, so it’s available immediately. It’s amazing and a very, very good deal. We don’t know why it’s so cheap, I think the landlord is just awesome.

There are two bedrooms, one huge master with three windows, built-in bookshelves, a ceiling fan, and walk-in closet. Tons of light. The other bedroom is smaller and with enough room for a queen size bed and a dresser, and it also has a closet. There is a third room on the second floor that we used as an office but the couple before us used as a nursery.

The first floor opens into a great big living space with a gas fireplace, which we used often, and a sweet ceiling fan. There is a modern bathroom on the first floor but only one shower which is upstairs. The back door leads onto a nice little patio that we hung a lot of plants in and used frequently for entertaining (pre-Covid). There is a garage, but it is a little small so we used it as storage and a workout space– our Subaru Crosstrek nearly fit inside but not quite. Spacious kitchen with granite countertops, washer/dryer, updated appliances, and ample cabinet space. Exposed brick wall and modern bathrooms.

It’s at 1825 4th Street NW just north of Florida Ave., let me know if you want to tour it. The neighborhood is great– it’s in Bloomingdale nestled in historic Ledroit Park which has old mansions adjacent to Howard University Hospital. Friendly and diverse and access to a park a couple blocks away. Several markets, restaurants, bars, and bus stops are all at your doorstep. Howard University, a dog park, a playground, Bikeshare, and Shaw Metro station (Yellow/Green Lines) (less than 5 blocks or 0.5/mile are all around the corner. U Street is only a couple blocks away.

This place is perfect for a couple because the second bedroom is a little smaller and there is only one shower, but it could be workable with a roommate. We’re looking for someone to move in right away.

The required security deposit is equal to one full month’s rent. Tenant is responsible for all utilities (water, gas, and electricity). Tenant is responsible for landscaping maintenance and snow removal. Smoking is not permitted. Pets are accepted on a case-by-case basis, with a one-time non-refundable pet fee of $300. This property is professionally managed by Scout Properties. There is an application fee of $50 per applicant.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
