“DC Apartment Incapable of Mask Enforcement”

“Dear PoPville,

This is the response [see below] I got from my building’s manager when I let her know that I wasn’t touring other units in the building as previously discussed because I didn’t feel safe being in the lobby, hallways, or empty units. All because I rarely see the building’s employees wearing masks correctly and consistently.

The incompetence in this building is honestly amazing. If there’s anything I can do to force them to make this building safer, I’d like to, but it sure seems easier to move. Any tips?

“Although we do encourage our residents to wear mask when they are outside of their apartments into the common areas of the building… and…Although there is a DC Mask Ordinance that we can’t enforce. However, we do understand completely why you do not feel safe walking around in a public space. I speak to my staff all the time about proper mask wearing. Please take your time…we are patience and have many floor plans for you to choose from when you are ready. Let us know if you have any further questions.”
