Support PoP!

Where are you getting your Turkey this year? Thanksgiving to go?

“Dear PoPville,

I’m trying to distract myself from the election by thinking about Thanksgiving. Where are people ordering their turkeys this year? I know Whole Foods has a nice ordering system but it would be nice to support local butchers.”

Another reader asks: “I’m anticipating celebrating Thanksgiving in DC apart from family this year. I doubt I’m the only one (darn COVID!). Any leads on take out and delivery options for a special Thanksgiving meal?

I’m a pescatarian, so I’d especially like to know about vegetarian and seafood choices (although I recognize that’s nontraditional) for Thanksgiving dinner. And as a single person, it would be helpful to know about restaurants that offer a deal that’s suitable for dining solo. I like leftovers (Thanksgiving leftovers are often the best), but I’d rather not be stuck ordering a “family” size dinner when it will be just me.”
