“Dear PoPville,

I’ve been trying to get in touch with Washington Gas for several days now but their phone system says they’re experiencing higher than normal call volume, keeps you on hold for an hour, and then eventually hangs up on you. Washington Gas tweeted on Nov 10th about the delays but there’s no proposed solution. (I’m not surprised by this, just frustrated.)

From the responses to the tweet, it sounds like people have been living w/o gas for a few weeks. For those who use gas for heat, the temperature drops are going to put them in a bad situation. I’m curious if any readers have intel on what the problem is with Washington Gas and if anyone has recommendations to circumvent the phone/website process. The phone line pushes you to use the website and when you try to use the website it tells you to call the number.”
