“David’s Tent on National Mall for yearrrrsss — how can that be?”

“Dear PoPville,

Have a question for the community about David’s Tent on the National Mall. I live nearby so have seen plenty of concerts, advocacy campaigns, art installations and more take place on the National Mall. Yet David’s Tent has been there for years! And they’ve recently added another small tent (maybe for bathrooms). I’m surprised that a religious organization could have a permanent presence in what’s technically a national public park. Do permits from the National Park Service not have limits?”
