Reana asks: “and I am definitely not going back in person yet. Anyone have recommendations?? Is there a PoPville hive mind list out there maybe? (bonus if the classes are also offered via ClassPass)”

Here are the initial replies:

“Sweat dc has a platform on band. It costs. But provides morning, mid day, night– hitt classes, some yoga, and a late night meditation. It is super inclusive.”

“@barre3 14th street location – they have online classes. They also have morning in the park classes that are really safe!

Also – the peloton app has great strength and now barre classes. They also have an outdoor running portion.”

“Anabell’s Fitness does both livestreaming and recorded classes — kettlebell and “extreme conditioning” (dumbells, bands, cardio). GREAT workouts. Anabellsfitness dot com — click “book now” to see class options.”

“If you want to support a really great local gym, 202strong has created a whole online program called Strongline that has 30-minute HIIT workouts you can do live or from the library of past classes. Doubt you can use classpass, but def check it out!”

“@305Fitness just launched an at home app! They’re also doing outdoor classes (which have felt very safe) but their online offering has been amazing”

“Sydney Cummings on YouTube kicks my butt for free and the Centr app has tons of different workouts and recipes for $15 a month”

“@flowyogacenter offers great zoom and outdoor classes! Yoga, Pilates, fitness, meditation, etc.”

“Body Positive Boot Camp is awesome! They have Zumba, kettle bell training, and more. @boot_positive”

“Yoga Heights has a great mix of online and in-person options (many of which are outdoor) for yoga, barre, and some fusion workout classes. They also offer virtual bootcamps”

“I do online classes called JABS by Gina. NYC based, but online only for the moment and they have 5-7 classes daily. It’s awesome and really changed my (COVID) life. Here’s the website: https://jabsbygina.com or you can follow her on instagram at jabsbygina”

“Not exactly what you’re looking for but there are outdoor soul cycle classes at union market? Which is something”

“HAUS Yoga has 15 dollar a month streaming only option with a ton of power and rocket yoga, plus its a local women owned business in DC!”

“Not sure what kind of workouts you’re interested in @bodybytrainor (on Instagram) does free classes using weights every day on Instagram live and the workouts are legit (even if you have minimal weight options).”

“I’m a huge fan of the peloton app (and I don’t have a peloton.) it’s $13/month and has every kind of class offered. I go to VIDA and I found the peloton apps offerings to be a decent comparison. Good luck!”

“I’ve been doing online classes with Anita who started her own fitness company during COVID. She’s not on class pass but the classes are affordable! https://www.drivefitnessdc.com/”

“Nike training app is great!”

“Mind the mat in Alexandria!”

“Epic yoga!!”

“I recommend Sydney Cummings daily workout videos on YouTube. They are great!”

“@cycfitness has some great online classes too.”

“My friend recommended the app “female fitness”

“Not sure if 305 fitness uses class pass but they did recently launched their online platform”

“Stmarks.net has a great yoga program. With a monthly donation (you decide how much) you get as many session as you want. Also, if you are employed by a company that leases an office, many buildings have free online exercise programs. Mine is a Brookfield building”

“I personally highly recommend Housework. It’s a Pilates inspired workout set to mostly house music and some pop. If you look at @sydmiller on Instagram you can find out more. She does Zoom lives for $13! It’s amazing.”

“Obé Fitness has been great during Covid. They have live classes and on-demand. Nice variety of Pilates, Strength, HITT, Barre, etc.”

“Bodymass Gym has great strength training and conditioning classes. They offer a new workout every single day, plus virtual personal training. They also have outdoor classes in Arlington and Columbia Heights. I’ve been a member for 2 years and love it.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
