lower level 1608 14th Street, NW via Rice Market

Thanks to Ammie and AF for sending word about Rice Market. Rice’s website says:

“Since 2003, Rice Restaurant has been providing locals and visitors a unique Thai dining experience on 14th Street, NW Washington DC. Now it’s time for us to introduce Rice Market located in the basement level of our restaurant. Created and operated by the same business partners as Rice Restaurant, we hope that Rice Market becomes your one-stop shop for all Thai and Asian needs.

OPENING – Friday, OCTOBER 16, 2020

Rice Market is a specialty store, carrying a well-curated collection of foods, beer, wine, sake, flowers and home goods. The focus of our cuisine is Thai, from “ready-to-eat” to “prep-to-cook” as well as a selection of groceries. We also feature Sushi and other essential ingredients for Asian cooking.

At Rice Market, we believe in promoting a sustainable local community & economy by supporting local farms and businesses. Part of our goal is to reduce food waste and minimize plastic packaging. We strive to use compostable containers and encourage reuse and recycling.

Everyday
11.30am – 9.00pm”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
