Today in Hawks around Town – Bald Eagle!!

Thanks to Fiona for sending this morning “this morning at New Hampshire Ave and Park Road, NW. Bald eagle came and picked up a dead rat and flew away!”

Neal sends (maybe the same one?):

“Bald eagle atop church tower. Fairmont & 13th Streets, NW, Washington, DC. Sept. 15, 2020, just after 7 pm.”

And Blaine sends on yesterday morning: “Bald Eagle on 11th and W ⁩this morning!!”

If you spot a hawk or any interesting wildlife around town, lunching or otherwise, and get a good photo please send in an email where you spotted it to [email protected] and I’ll add it to the queue. Hawks around Town is made possible by a generous grant from the Ben and Sylvia Gardner foundation.
