On Sunday, he started the swim at 7:30 at National Harbor – finally crossing the finish line looking strong more than 14 hours later across the Navy Yard pier bridge, just blocks from our home on Capitol Hill. I arranged for more than 25 aid stations set up along the way including Nat’s Park, the Washington Monument and Haines Point, with more than 30 friends and neighbors volunteering to help keep him hydrated – all in IronTate masks!
And he raised $1,855 (and counting!) for the CDC Foundation’s work to find a vaccine for COVID.“
