“I noticed a new ABRA notice on the door of a building at 1659 Wisconsin Ave, NW for a new restaurant that is going to be called the “Fountain Inn” based on Georgetown’s historical Fountain Inn/Suter’s Tavern. Seems there has been some Georgetown lore surrounding the old tavern.”
The placard says:
“The Establishment will be a neighborhood tavern based on the former The Fountain Inn providing a daily food menu complimented by aged spirits and fine wines. Seating Capacity of 30 inside and a Total Occupancy Load of 60, including an outdoor Summer Garden with 30 seats.”

St. Mary Armenian Church will hold its 75th Annual Armenian Fall Food Festival October 6-7 from 11am – 8pm at St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church (4135 Fessenden St. NW). Traditional Armenian Food will be available for both Carry-out and Dine-in including Lamb and Chicken Kabobs, Cheese Boreg, Baklava and a wide variety of other delicious dishes. Traditional Armenian music and dancing on Saturday night and unique artisan vendors throughout the festival. Outdoor dining space is available as well as free on street parking.
