This rental is located at 850 Quincy Street, NW. The Craigslist ad says:
“$2465 / 1br – 760ft2 – Lease takeover@Petworth/CoHi- sunny, 6th fl.+balcony, 1br+den or 2br
Moving out of our place this month and leaving behind our beautiful, sunny, top floor, wraparound balcony in Petworth/CoHi area. This place is ideal for a remote working couple (or 1-2 individuals den is converted into a bedroom), with a separate den/office space closed off from the living room, gourmet kitchen (with GE stainless appliances + gas stove + granite countertops), and full floor-to-ceiling windows in all rooms (except bathroom). Great for growing plants. The balcony has enough space for the equivalent of 3 rooms (one has become our default fitness center, one as an outdoor dining room, and one off the bedroom, as a tanning deck) with spectacular views over the monuments, CoHi, Capitol Hill, etc. The only challenge is it can get too sunny in the morning with the sunrise, which you can watch from your bed! But unit comes with blackout blinds on all windows are included. Full bathtub/shower combined, large washer-dryer in unit.
Building is pet friendly, and if you like dogs, you’ll make tons of friends. The unit is literally at the Petworth metro, making it super easy whenever people take the metro (hopefully soon)… Also right across from Capital bikeshare, across the street from CVS, walking distance from Columbia Heights.
Parking is available in the building for an additional fee. Building also has a convenient fitness center in the basement and a stunningly beautiful rooftop terrace that always has plenty of space – big tanning beds, rooftop dining & seating, and outdoor grilling stations. Unit is located on 6th floor and there are large elevators in the building (move in was a breeze).
The building staff is super friendly and accessible – they always respond to any requests within 24 hours (including repairs), and the concierge staff is a delight and available 24/7 to handle packages, super easy to handle guest access, leaving keys, etc. Great internet connectivity (through Comcast).
Building is kept clean, modern, there is a party room and a business center as well (not available during COVID-19, however).
We lived here for 2 years and loved the Petworth area. One of us worked from home for the full time we lived here, and often hung out at Qualia Coffee, the Coupe, Colony Club, Reliable Tavern, etc.
Building is one block from a 24/7, well-stocked Safeway, 3 blocks from Yes! Organic supermarket, as well as a few blocks Upshur Street, the Saturday’s Petworth farmer’s market, and also just a few blocks from the 11th Street CoHi area.
We will miss these large windows wherever we move next – they’ve gotten us through quarantine and DC’s cold winters!
We negotiated our lease last year, and had this apartment handed down to us, so have kept it well below the going rate in the building, at $2465 (+ utility bills & internet). It’s already guaranteed for the same throughout the year due to COVID 19 rent freeze.
The unit is available from August 2.”
