Today’s Rental was chosen because the price is right for a room in a nice group house

This rental is located in Mount Pleasant. The Craigslist ad says:

“$840 Sunny Bedroom in large Mt Pleasant Group Home (Mt Pleasant)

An unfurnished bedroom is available for rent in a large Mt Pleasant group home, and will be available September 1, 2020. The home is a 6 bed/2 bath classic row-home style property. The room available is located on the 2nd floor and is available for the rent of $839.56. You will share a bathroom with two other people. Everyone works in different fields such as pet care, teaching, or retail-management, so the roommates’ hours vary and we are rarely waiting on the bathroom or to get into the kitchen. We have two cats living on the third floor, a cheeky black cat and a new kitten; they may visit occasionally.

The room is 9′ by 11′ 9” and currently has a twin bed. Previous tenants of the room have slept on a queen bed, although it was a little tight. Note: the closet for the room is located outside the room on the second floor landing. There is a “wardrobe” that provides extra hanging space which can be left in the room free of charge but the room is unfurnished otherwise. There is a window AC unit and heat from a radiator.

There are great common areas downstairs including a large living and dining room as well as a back deck perfect for hosting get-togethers. There is a parking spot in the back for guests to use and it’s never difficult to find a street spot before midnight. The house is convenient to the 16th street buses and a 15-minute walk to the Colombia Heights metro (access to Target, Giant, etc.). We have a washer and dryer, dishwasher, and two fridges that help the house stay clean and organized. Truly a great house with lots of charm and fun roommates looking for a responsible, LGBT-friendly, tidy, and respectful person to join our squad! We’re looking for at least a year’s commitment. The house is non-smoking inside and 420 friendly.”
