1st and D Street, SE via Tortilla Coast
On July 10th we heard the sad news that Capitol Hill mainstay Tortilla Coast planned on closing July 19th. Then on Friday:
We planned to shutdown @tortillacoast this Sunday because the landlord has been so unreasonable. But since @PoPville announced impending closing, so many guests have flocked to the Coast, we have decided to keep rolling until at least July 26. We need a #margaritamiracle pic.twitter.com/JQNsWx9wr0

A mini margarita miracle has indeed arrived because hc tells us: “Tortilla Coast will be staying open until the end of August!!!!!” and owner Geoff Tracy confirms the news to me last night.
HC who works at Tortilla Coast tells us: “That we really appreciate all of the support and we hope to see everyone! In addition to dining in, we have limited capacity due to Covid restrictions, you can also order online and through door dash as well. We also offer catering orders To-go.
OPEN FOR DINE IN, TAKE-OUT & DELIVERY!
