Two People Were Killed in that Terrible Hit and Run in Bloomingdale Last Sunday, an arrest has been made.

Ed. Note: With our recent coverage focusing almost entirely on the protests I have been deficient in some posts that I would normally cover. I will continue to focus on the protests but include other posts as well. I especially did want to update what happened in Bloomingdale last Sunday because two people were sadly killed. One was 81-year-old Donald Malloy.

Full report from MPD:

“Detectives with the Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Crash Investigations Unit are investigating a traffic fatality involving a hit and run traffic crash with a double traffic fatality that occurred on Sunday, May 31, 2020, between the intersection of Bryant Street and North Capitol Street, Northeast.

Preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 6:25 pm, a vehicle was traveling at an apparent high rate of speed and struck another vehicle in the intersection of Bryant Street and North Capitol Street, Northeast. The driver of the striking vehicle exited his car and then fled on foot.

DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the occupants of the second vehicle to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. After all life-saving efforts failed, both occupants were pronounced dead.

The first decedent has been identified 81-year-old Donald Malloy, of Temple Hills, MD.

The second decedent has not yet been identified.

On June 1, 2020, 32-year-old Kyle Alexander Wooden, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
