Today in Hawks around Town – Wildlife Wonderland at Hains Point

Thanks to Noam Raffel for sending these great photos:

“During quarantine a lot of cyclists are heading down to Hains Point. On the southern most point of the golf course a bald eagle visits every afternoon. (see picture of the eagle land.) When she is not around Ospreys hang out there, often holding fish (See picture).

In that same area I also got the chance to see a woodchuck! It’s cool that it is all within city limits!”

If you spot a hawk or any interesting wildlife around town, lunching or otherwise, and get a good photo please send in an email where you spotted it to [email protected] and I’ll add it to the queue. Hawks around Town is made possible by a generous grant from the Ben and Sylvia Gardner foundation.
