The Diner Reopens for Carryout in Adams Morgan

2453 18th Street, NW

From a press release:

“The Tryst Trading Company has announced it will now offer carryout with limited menu options at the Diner, in the Adams Morgan neighborhood.

The CEO and Owner Constantine Stavropoulos explains the priorities in safety and putting a limited staff back to work. “The health and safety of our staff is our first priority. Like many DC restaurants, we temporarily closed our restaurants in March. While it was a heartbreaking decision, we remained optimistic about reopening our doors in a safe and responsible manner. Our team members have been incredibly patient as we worked to reopen our doors.”

Guests can access the limited menu items from the Diner’s website, www.dinerdc.com. Carryout will be available daily, from 5 PM- 9 PM.

The goals are to expand the hours of service and eventually include delivery options in the near future. Chief Marketing Officer, Jamie Mangrum, sheds light on the decision to reopen the restaurant. “As soon as we reopened our flagship restaurant, Tryst, guests had immediate requests for us to reopen the Diner as well. There are quite a few entrees on the Diner menu that offer options for guests that want late lunches, dinners, and desserts or cocktails. Ultimately, the goals are to serve guests throughout the day. They can have breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks now that both Adams Morgan locations are reopened for carryout. We listened to them, and we’re happy to make this happen.”

Constantine adds that the leadership team is hoping to slowly phase in reopening their other restaurants soon. “The goals are to serve our neighborhoods and communities. Our guests are sentimental and they are looking for us to provide some nostalgia during this time. We believe this will be the first of many great steps for all of our restaurants.”

Management for The Tryst Trading Company would like to express gratitude to the guests and corporate partners for their continued patronage and support during this globally concerning matter.”
