In today’s ‘where’s the best available these days’ – obviously it’s time to talk Tacos and more. Readers are asking for: the best carry-out Mexican, tacos, tortillas and queso. And one that wasn’t specifically asked but that I’d like to know – best Margaritas?

Some initial recommendations: Judy Restaurant, “El Sol, Espita, and Oyamel are some of my favorites.”, “My fav right now is @anafre_dc. Their fish taco is spectacular.”, “Guapo’s”, “@DelBarrioDC in Petworth is great.”, “Taqueria Habanero. They make their own tortillas.”, “For food I like Mezcalero, Taqueria Habanero and El Sol for traditional Mexi food. Espita has a modern twist on Mexi foods and they have great Mezcal cocktails.”, “El Tamarindo 1785 Florida Ave. NW”

Regarding fresh tortillas: “Chaia has them for .38 each!”, “Espita on 9th”, “Republic Cantina too.”, “Republic Cantina in Truxton Circle. Get some margaritas while you’re at it.”, “Little Red Fox has them!”, “If you’re almost to Silver Spring, La Casita in Silver Spring/Takoma Park.”

Regarding queso: “1) San Antonio’s queso in Brookland, 2) Alero has delicious queso and a different style chip, and finally 3) Tortila Coast has excellent queso.”, “Port City is offering a Cinco de Mayo package for delivery or pickup with Daddy G’s salsa, queso and chips, 4 Mexican Dark and 6 pack of Optimal Wit.”, “Taqueria Del Barrio in Petworth!”, “hands down @RepublicCantina”
